There are new CDC rules for dogs and puppies coming into the USA requiring a CONFINEMENT AGREEMENT:
The new owner must request by email a CONFINEMENT AGREEMENT from the CDC. Their email is: CDCAnimalimports@cdc.gov
In this email the new owner must state they will keep the puppy and get its rabies shot after it is 3 months old. Furthermore, this CONFINEMENT AGREEMENT REQUEST must contain the following data for the pup, for example:
Number of dogs: 1 (or what ever it is)
Sex: male (or what ever it is)
Date of birth of pup: October 6, 2016 (or what ever it is)
Breed: Golden Retriever
Bountry of origin: Canada
Purpose of importation: Personal pet
You must also designate a port of entry like Derby Line, VT and a date.
