The farm is naturally organic but without the expensive certification.
On our 350 acres, we produce seasonal vegetables and fruits, carrot wine, beefalo meat, hay, and wood. We also breed Golden Retrievers for pets and service dogs.
Three miles east of the town of Stanstead, the property is about a mile north of the US border as the crow flies and about five miles by the road. Directions for getting here are available here.
Stay
The area’s alpine qualities are perfect for holiday makers and we operate a bed and breakfast out of our large, comfortable farmhouse snuggled safely in the valley, or if you want to work with us, we are part of the World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms (WWOOF) network.
Fly

Events
The airport buildings include an event hall that is 40 feet by 50 feet and holds approximately 100 people. The hall is available for hire for weddings, conferences and other events. More information is here.
We are part of the North American square dancing community and hold dances for our club a few times a year. Everyone is welcome to come along for a small fee.
Neighborhood
Being on the USA–Canada border makes our neighborhood quite unique. The border runs right through buildings, stores and homes, creating interesting challenges for the people who live here.
For example, Stanstead boasts the world‑famous Haskell Library where the books are in Canada and the checkout desk is in the USA!
Culture
George’s family has owned the farm since his father bought part of it over 50 years ago. His mother’s family (Kezar) were original pioneers in the area arriving from Kezar Falls, Maine in 1809. George extensively added land an buildings, turning it into a multifaceted working farm and has now been working it for many years. The Eastern Townships is historically an Anglophone part of Québec so while we are an English speaking family, we can also converse fairly well in French as well.
